Youth Voices Through Art
As part of the inaugural UNGA 80 #YouthLead Festival, ALT Alliance hosted Art for Policy Change: Youth Voices on Global Well-being, an international dialogue that brought together young people, artists, educators, and community advocates. Through original artworks and discussion, participants explored how creative expression can contribute to conversations about global well-being, social equity, and collective responsibility.
From Personal Experience to Public Dialogue
Youth participants presented artworks addressing issues including mental health, education, family relationships, and environmental responsibility. Guided by art therapists and educators, small-group discussions encouraged participants to reflect on how personal experiences can inspire empathy, healing, and meaningful social change.
Connecting Creativity and Action
The event concluded with youth-led policy recommendations submitted to the UN Youth Compass platform, connecting artistic expression with civic participation. By encouraging young people to share ideas, concerns, and aspirations through art, the program demonstrated how creativity can serve as a bridge between emotional expression and policy innovation.
Looking Forward
